Message for the Month of April 2026
My Dear Fathers, Sisters and Laity in Risen Christ,
Holy Mother Church celebrates the most significant event in human history - the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! On 05th April 2026 Easter Sunday, we rejoice in the truth that Jesus, who was crucified on the cross, has risen from the dead. It's a celebration of joy, hope, and new life.
As we approach the Holy Trilogy of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter, let's reflect on the love and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Maundy Thursday reminds us of Jesus' humility and service, "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you" (John 13:15). He washed the feet of his disciples, instituted the Eucharist, and prayed for unity.
Good Friday calls us to contemplate the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross, "It is finished" (John 19:30). It shows his obedience to the Father's will and love for humanity. The wounds of Christ are a powerful reminder of his sacrifice:hands and feet pierced for us (John 20:25)Side pierced, blood and water flowed (John 19:34)Head crowned with thorns (Matthew 27:29)Back scourged and beaten (Matthew 27:26)
These wounds show us God's love and mercy.
Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, "He is risen, he is not here" (Mark 16:6), this is our salvation, and the promise of eternal life. This is the foundation of our Easter joy!
The resurrection brings us: Hope in times of sorrow- Joy in times of trial Peace in times of uncertainty-New life in Christ.
The priesthood plays a vital role in continuing Jesus' mission, "As the Father has sent me, I also send you" (John 20:21). Let's pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, "Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (Matthew 9:38). May families support and encourage their loved ones to answer God's call.
Let's reflect on the importance of priesthood:Priests bring Christ to us through sacraments. They guide and shepherd us on our journey. They pray for us and with us.May we support and pray for our priests, that they may be faithful servants of God.
Easter joy is for all! Let's share this joy with others:
Reach out to someone lonely
Forgive and reconcile with others
Celebrate with family and friends
Spread the Good News of Jesus' resurrection
May the wounds of Christ remind us of his love, and may his resurrection fill our hearts with joy and hope. Alleluia!
May the risen Christ be our hope, our joy, and our strength. Happy Easter!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, We thank You for the gift of Jesus and His resurrection. May the truth of Easter fill our hearts with joy, our minds with wonder, and our lives with obedience. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
With my prayers and apostolic blessing,
